Lucky Leprechaun

Platform for hosting gymnastics meet among clubs

role

Research, design, and implement a visually engaging and user-friendly website

Project Overview

The goal was to create an engaging and dynamic website to promote the event and provide essential information to participants and attendees.

problem

The lack of a centralized platform posed significant challenges in organizing event, managing participants, and facilitating communication among coaches and clubs. Sharing important information such as competition schedules, rules, and registration details through email and physical flyers resulted in confusion and potential discrepancies. This decentralized approach made it difficult for participants to access up-to-date information and for organizers to efficiently manage the meet, exacerbating communication difficulties within the gymnastics community.

solution

The platform allowed participants to easily access up-to-date information, simplifying their experience and ensuring they were well-informed about the meet. Coaches and organizers could efficiently manage participant registrations, track progress, and communicate important updates, streamlining the overall event management process.

Design Process

RESERCH & IDEATE

During this stage, as a web designer, I engaged in discussions with coaches and the competition organizers to determine the project's concept, the main functionalities required for the platform, the information to be presented, and the desired design style envisioned by the client.

UI DESIGN

Focused on developing a design system that would guide the visual aspects of the project. This included selecting appropriate colors, and typography and creating a consistent set of styles and components that would maintain cohesiveness across the website

WIREFRAMES AND PROTOTYPING

The website's homepage featured a hero section with an invitation phrase showcasing the competition dates, athlete levels, and the world-class hosting venue. The layout accommodates a responsive grid system optimized for desktop viewing at 1440x1024 resolution.

THE LAUNCH PROCESS

The implemented design was launched on the Webflow platform, utilizing expert web development skills. The design system, graphic elements, and wireframes were translated into a functional and responsive website, ensuring an optimal user experience on different devices and screen sizes

USER TESTING AND ACCESSIBILITY

The launch process involved rigorous testing and refinement to guarantee smooth functionality and adherence to the project's objectives and specifications
